工业：全县有工业企业5000多家，其中私营企业占90%以上，已形成了针织、纺织、服装、制笔、皮革、箱包、机械、电子、化工、制药、工艺玩具等产业，其中制笔业、针织业、医疗器械、石材业、箱包玩具业等一批块状特色经济发展迅速。现有外商投资企业和外贸出口企业一千余家， 2004年外贸出口总额90亿元，自营出口额 3.05亿美圆。

    Industry: There are over 500 enterprises here, among which 90% are private ones. They are mainly engaged in knitwear, textiles, garments, pencil and pen making, leather, suitcases, machinery, medical equipment, electronics, chemicals, medicine and craft toys. Among these industries, pencil and pen making, knitwear, stone materials, suitcases and toys have been developing rapidly and distinctively. So far, the number of joint ventures and export-oriented enterprises in Tonglu has exceeded 1000. The total export volume in 2004 stood at 9 billion Yuan, of which the self-operated export volume was 305 million US dollars.

    农业：桐庐县农业资源丰富，产业已形成了蜂业、笋竹、干鲜水果、水产、瓜果蔬菜等优势特色农业，开发出"蜂之语"蜂产品、"桐江"蜜梨、"雪水云绿"茶，等一批名、特、优、新农产品。

    Agriculture: Tonglu is rich in agricultural resources. Some produces such as bee products, bamboo shoots, fresh and dried fruits, aquatic products, green vegetables are predominant in Tonglu's characteristic agriculture. A series of branded agricultural products have been made popular such as "Fengzhiyu" (bee product), "Tongjiang Pear" , "Xueshui Yunlü" (tea), etc.

    旅游业：桐庐是"西湖-富春江-新安江-千岛湖-黄山"国家级黄金旅游线上的一颗璀璨明珠，旅游资源得天独厚，有秀丽清绝的富春江、全国诸洞冠"瑶琳仙境"、华夏中药鼻祖桐君山、东汉古迹严子陵钓台等著名景观。

    Tourism: Tonglu is compared to a brilliant pearl along the golden tourism route of "West Lake----Fuchun River----Xin'an River----Thousand-Island Lake----and Yellow Mountain." The crystal clear Fuchun River, the wonderland in Yaolin, Tongjun Hill named after the founder of traditional Chinese medicine, and Hermit Yan's Angling Terrace built in the Eastern Han Dynasty, make Tonglu a tourist attraction in China.
